Hardik Pandya Not Considered For India Vs New Zealand Series


26-year-old Baroda cricketer, Hardik Pandya is all-rounder player known for his right-handed batting skills and right arm fast-medium bowls. Pandya underwent a surgery for his back injury, and he is not ready to play currently. He last played for India in the 3rd T20I against south African team in September.

Since then he has gone through rehabilitation after his successful surgery. Hardik was facing problem with his back and then he decided to go for a surgery at right time so that he comes back at right time to play some international series at right time even after his resting break.

As per Hardik Pandya, it is not easy for a person to come back after an injury and long break. You need to be mentally strong and patient for that. Once you are back you need to be stronger than what you are today.

In one of his past interviews he said, “I have understood that every comeback gives me an edge and makes me stronger. I want people to say I learnt something when I was away due to injury.
Physically I can always come back, but mentally it is important to stay healthy. And to be honest, a lot of things have happened in my life and I have become much stronger mentally,” he explained.

Hardik Pandya recently went through a fitness test and he has not been considered for India Tour of New Zealand as he failed the fitness test. He recently flunked the bowling workload monitoring test which is mandatory requirements for a player after coming back from back surgery.

He recently claimed that he would be fit for second half of the upcoming India New Zealand series but as per sources of BCCI it was cricketer’s individual assessment. As per the sources, He might have felt fit, but he has failed the workload test which broadly means a fitness test.

Hardik Pandya is very important for India’s T20 World Cup due to his hitting skills and fast medium bowling skills. Player himself wants to win the World T20. It will be good seeing him will powerful comeback.

For now, player is not ready for international cricket and he will have to play at least one domestic match for Baroda to be considered for national comeback.
