India cricket team struggling on number 4 batsmen

As we all know that South Africa tour of India 2019 is been currently held and total of 4 matches has been completed with 3 T20 International and 1 board president practice match. From the begining there was a big confusion for the selectors on choosing the number 4 sspot batsmen and it was earlier announced that Rishabh pant will be the person to be placed in number 4 spot the captain, coach and the management have decided.

It was not just a number 4 spot because it is also the replacement of legendary MS Dhoni. Everybody stracted to question that how can a young player can replace this spot even if he been replaced can he fullfill the shoes of MS Dhoni the debate was on and on.

In T20Is as well, Rishabh has been given chances and the team management is yet to ink on a number four batsman. In the third T20I against South Africa recently, the inability of the team management to identify a number four batsman almost saw both Rishabh and Iyer come out to bat at the same time.

In the last two years, No.4 batting slot has been a debatable topic. The Indian team management tried Ambati Rayudu for some time, right before the World Cup 2019 in England, Vijay Shankar was handed the responsibility as well for the same spot. But, once Shankar got injured during the course of the tournament, Rishabh Pant was given the chance to play at the same slot.
