South Africa tour of India 2019: 2nd T20 International



The 1st t20 International match was abandoned due to rain even without going for a toss. Now its in Mohali that the 2nd T20 International was held on 18th September 2019. India won the toss and elected to bowl first.

South Africa Batting:

South African Reeza Hendricks and Quinton De Kock where the first batsmen to get into the pitch. Hendricks ball caught by Washington Sundar while Deepak Chahar bowled. Next came Temba Bavuma who made his first international T20 debut and when on to show a brilliant performance of scoring 49 runs for 43 balls along with Captain Quinton they made a good they had a good partnership and they put a decent score on the board. After a while the wicket of South African players didn’t get hold and at the end of the over it was 149 runs of loss of 5 wickets.

India Batting:

Now we saw the change in the opening batsmen of Indian cricket team Rohit Sharma replacing KL Rahul and Shikar Dhawan as usually on the other end. But Rohit got out by a LBW bowled by Phehlukwayo. Later the Indian captain Virat Kohli came and showed a terrific performance of 72 runs from 52 balls. Shikar Dhawan on the other hand showed brilliant performance of scoring 40 from 31 balls. And it was catch by Miller with a one hand catch near the boundary shocked the Dhawan and even Kohli reaction showed it how amazing the catch was. Later Rishabh Pant was in the batting line and he took 5 runs from 4 balls and was caught by Shamsi bowled by Fortuin. Once again, the team and the cricket fans were not happy with the performance. Next was Shreyas Iyer who accompanied captain Virat Kohli to complete the winning match. At the End of 19th over team India scored 151 having 7 wickets in hand and even 6 balls remaining.
South Africa bowling :
Nobody can forget the David miller stunning one hand catch which took Shikar Dhawan wicket while Tabraiz Shamsi was bowling 
Upcoming Matches:
India and South African player are all set to play their next match final t20 match at Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. And one three-day practice match and three test matches remaining in the series. It will be a fun thrilled match for cricket lovers as India has already tasted one match victory and now the south African cricketers should risk themselves to equal the game. And the test series will be captained by Faf Du Plessis. Now as a new captain of T20 international cricket South Africa there has been much pressure for the new captain Quinton de cock.
