MSK Prasad Chief Selector : No update on MS Dhoni Retirement, The News is Incorrect

On 11th September 2019 at 10:46 PM IST current Indian cricket team captain Virat kohli tweeted a picture of him and MS Dhoni in match and quoting "A game I can never forget. Special night. This man, made me run like in a fitness test". This was a 2016 T20 world cup match and it was for the qualifier of semifinals match. India won the match by 6 wickets and entered into the semi finals.

The single run trough out the match was important because, the batsmen who tried hitting boundaries were caught out. And there was no proper batsmen down the row after Dhoni and kohli, So at that time Dohni was the captain and he decided that both will finish the game. Later the match India beat the target of 160 and placed into semi finals against West Indies.

Thought it was a tough pitch for the batsmen to hit boundaries somehow Dhoni and Kohli partnership tried getting runs through the wicket to held towards the winning score. They score an exact of 100 runs partnership in 61 balls. With twelve 4's and two 6's in total. So a total runs of 40 was between the wickets in a short format game.

This game showed the power of single runs between the wicket for a winning. And after almost 2 years later Kohli posted the pic stating the quote of running test. And that's when fans started to get in the chaos why and what was the reason behind sharing it  now there speculated rumors stating Dhoni would be announcing his retirement and that's the reason Kohli posting a picture of him.

It was also rumored that Dhoni will be meeting the reporters on the same day. But that would not happen cause Dhoni was on vacation and he is in America and will only be returning on 16 September- Source close to Dhoni.

These speculations all started after the world cup 2019 which many were seen given enough chance of performing but Dhoni on the semi finals was sent as the 6th down after Rishabh and Hardik. And after loosing the semifinals even with a good performance by Dhoni when the top order bastmen did not cope up to it and lost many wickets. Thought struggling Dhoni and Jadeja partnership worked well and Jadeja went on to score 50 and Dhoni was at his 40's when he lost his wicket.
